Welcome to the research group of Jennifer Cano!

I am a theoretical physicist studying condensed matter theory.

I received my PhD in 2015 from the University of California, Santa Barbara. From 2015–2018 I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Princeton Center for Theoretical Science. I am currently an Associate Professor at Stony Brook University in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. I also have a Visiting Scholar appointment at the Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Quantum physics.

My research is supported by a Sloan Fellowship, an NSF Career award, the Columbia MRSEC, the AFOSR and the Simons Foundation.

Contact me at: jennifer.cano at stonybrook.edu. My office is B-147.

Join our program “Non-Hermitian topology, geometry, and symmetry across physical platforms” at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics in Fall 2024! More info here
