30 LGBTQ Scholarships For Higher Education

Individuals within the LGBTQ community are already faced with enough obstacles in their daily lives that they don't need the added stress of figuring out how to pay for a higher education. Through the means of finding 30 scholarships dedicated to supporting the community, we're hoping to alleviate some of that stress. Many scholarships go unapplied each year, which means lots of money goes unused. So make sure you check out these scholarships while you're planning your educational future.

The Keith Williams Law Group Annual Scholarship
December 1 | $1,500

This scholarship was set up through the Keith Williams Law Group to help students who have fought adversity in order to better themselves through education.

April 24 | $1,500

As long as you have a qualifying visual arts portfolio, and you are an LGBTQ high school senior, you have an opportunity for winning this scholarship.

The Make it Safe Project is a scholarship for writers of stories/poems that include queer and trans characters. Not only are recipients awarded $500, but they also receive publication. This scholarship is available to all queer and trans youth ages 13-18.
