GREENEVILLE, TN- Playing at a Division I college is the dream of most high school football players. That dream has become a reality for another member of the state champion Greeneville Greene Devils.

Sophomore long snapper, Will Albright, committed to the University of Tennessee Tuesday. Albright, who is receiving a full scholarship, spent the weekend in Knoxville at a camp and went back to UT on Tuesday to commit to head coach Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols.

Albirght says Pruitt believes he even may have a chance to start as a freshman in 2020.

This past season with Albright snapping, Greeneville connected on 94 of its 100 extra points. The record setting offense only punted 17 times last year.

For Albright, putting on the orange has been a dream since he was a kid and once he got the offer his mind was made.

“It wasn’t really much of a decision,” said Albright. “I grew up a Tennessee fan and I knew that was a dream for me ever since kid. When he said we’re going to offer you, it was just mind blowing. One of the things I like about (Pruitt) is his sense of discipline and what he carries into the program. I really like where it’s going, the direction it’s taking. My mom really wants me to be close to home and my dad grew up a Tennessee fan, so they’re both really excited.”
