BLUFF CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office says two people were shot Tuesday evening in Bluff City.

Deputies responded just after 7 p.m. to the 1200 block of Weaver Branch Road.

The sheriff’s office says two people were taken to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

A suspect has been arrested.

Jason Step and he and his wife were watching television when someone started banging on the door.

“The seven year old boy had been shot also came running to our camper door beating on our camper door saying ‘Call 911, we’ve been shot, we’ve been shot.”

“Here comes his father that had been shot. I said ‘what happened?’ (He said) ‘Dad shot us, dad shot us,'” he added.

The sheriff’s office said no other information was available for release Tuesday night.
