Investigation underway after threatening note found at Dobyns-Bennett High School

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – Police are investigating after a threatening note was found at Dobyns-Bennett High School on Tuesday.

The Kingsport Police Department says a student discovered the note and turned it into school administrators around noon.

The note reportedly suggested a potential threat at Dobyns-Bennett on Wednesday.

Police say photos of the note were circulated on social media.

There will be an increased police presence at the school on Wednesday, according to KPD.

The Kingsport Police Department and Kingsport City Schools are investigating.
