JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL)- Officials with the Washington County, Tennessee Animal Shelter have revealed details that were included in a necropsy report that indicates how a dog died in the care of Off Leash K9 Training facility in Johnson City.
According to officials at the shelter, the report said the dog, an 8-month-old miniature bull terrier named Dallas, had 0% fat content and there was no presence of food in the GI tract.
The report said that nothing had moved through the dog in 12-24 hours but that there was a small amount of food in its stomach.
There were also no signs of edema or strangulation, according to the report.
News Channel 11 also heard from the attorney representing the dog, who stated that Dallas died by way of starvation, citing the UT Vet School necropsy report.

The owner of Off Leash K9 Training in Johnson City, Randi LaFerney, was booked into jail Monday.

LaFerney’s bond was set at $10,000 and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
She was officially booked on a charge of aggravated cruelty to animals.
