What you need to know:

  • Verizon consumer (prepaid and postpaid) and small business customers in Iowa most impacted by this month’s historic derecho will receive unlimited calling, texting and data 8/19 - 8/25.

  • A $10,000 donation is being made to the storm relief fund of the Southeast Iowa Chapter of the American Red Cross

  • Verizon retail stores in the region are open. Due to the pandemic, it’s best to make an appointment at verizonwireless.com/stores before visiting.

  • Our Verizon Response team is available 24/7 to coordinate with first responders

For our consumer and small business customers in the path of this month’s derecho, beginning Wednesday, August 19 through Tuesday, August 25, Verizon is providing unlimited calling, texting and data to those who reside in the following Iowa counties:

Benton, Boone, Cedar, Clinton, Dallas, Jasper, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Marshall, Muscatine, Polk, Poweshiek, Scott, Story, and Tama.

Our Verizon Response team is available 24/7 to coordinate with first responders. We mobilize charging stations, devices, special equipment, emergency vehicles and more to support local, state and federal agencies across the US. First responder customers with wireless priority service should utilize *272 when placing calls.
