Auditor General DePasquale Calls for Leach to Resign from Senate
HARRISBURG (Jan. 29, 2019) – Auditor General Eugene DePasquale today issued the following statement regarding allegations and lawsuits involving Sen. Daylin Leach:
“It is past time for Sen. Leach to step down. The serious and shocking allegations against him need to be thoroughly investigated. In the meantime, he has no business serving in the Senate, much less serving on the Judiciary Committee that could weigh in on statute of limitations issues.
“I find it disgusting that he filed a defamation lawsuit against his accuser. I will continue to stand by brave victims who have the courage to speak out and ask for justice.
“I also believe that Rep. Brian Ellis should step down.
“It is the best interest of their constituents and Pennsylvania taxpayers for both men to resign, and do so now.”
