France and Germany compete for Champions League supremacy

Lyon have completed the line-up for the semi-finals of this season's Champions League after knocking out Manchester City.

Only teams from France and Germany remain in the competition, with the two countries facing off in each of the two ties.

On Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig will do battle for a place in what would be a first Champions League final for both of them.

On Wednesday, Bayern Munich and Lyon meet in the other semi-final and, depending on the result of Tuesday's tie, they could make an all-French or all-German final.

Curiously, only French and German coaches remain in the dugout too.

Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann, Hansi Flick and Rudi Garcia are all looking to reach their first Champions League finals as head coaches.
