Get the Most Out of Your Recycling Efforts! Follow these simple steps to ensure you are recycling like a boss and keeping your community clean: 1. Give it a rinse: Before you recycle, make sure to give your items a good rinse and shake to remove any food bits or liquids. 2. Bin it right: Say no to plastic bags and toss your recyclables into a trusty blue bin instead. This makes sorting a breeze. 3. Size matters: If it's too tiny, it's not worth it. Any items smaller than 2x2 inches should go in the trash. Caps can join the party if they are twisted back onto their containers. 4. When in doubt, chuck it out: Throwing non-recyclable items in the recycling bin can jam up the works and cause headaches for recycling programs. If you don't know, throw it in the trash. 5. Reduce and reuse! While recycling is great, reducing waste and reusing items is even better. Get creative and make the most out of what you have. Let's keep our planet happy and healthy!

Where Does It Go Wednesday!? 🤔 Got an old refrigerator, freezer, AC unit, or dehumidifier that needs to be dumped properly? Don't just throw it in the trash - these appliances contain Freon, a toxic chemical banned from unauthorized disposal. But don't worry, there's an easy and safe solution - take it to Gleason or your local transfer station and have a licensed technician take care of it! 💡 #WhereDoesItGoWednesday

Hey everyone! Recycling tips are important for us all to remember. Here's one: let's try not to mix different materials when we're putting our recyclables into their bins. Like this example below, putting plastic into paper can make it much harder for them to get sorted at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). Let's all do our part for a cleaner and greener planet – let's keep recycling the right way! ♻️ #recycleresponsibly #cleantogether #greenliving
