The position is full-time and located at our regional transfer station in Rutland, VT. It requires the candidate to be capable of working in all areas of the facility, including operating equipment on-site. Get the Most Out of Your Recycling Efforts! Follow these simple steps to ensure you are recycling like a boss and keeping your community clean: 1. Give it a rinse: Before you recycle, make sure to give your items a good rinse and shake to remove any food bits or liquids. 2. Bin it right: Say no to plastic bags and toss your recyclables into a trusty blue bin instead. This makes sorting a breeze. 3. Size matters: If it's too tiny, it's not worth it. Any items smaller than 2x2 inches should go in the trash. Caps can join the party if they are twisted back onto their containers. 4. When in doubt, chuck it out: Throwing non-recyclable items in the recycling bin can jam up the works and cause headaches for recycling programs. If you don't know, throw it in the trash. 5.
