The newest luxury automaker is quickly working to establish its bona fides as a proven entity in the world of customer service, too. And it happened so quickly, too. Think of it as a pop-up customer service kiosk at America’s great auto mall.
Genesis Motor America announced the launch of the Genesis Cares Job Loss Protection plan. The goal is to support customers affected by the uncertain business and financial climate surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Under the program, Genesis will make up to six months of payments for customers who have purchased new Genesis vehicles between March 14 and April 30, 2020. To qualify, customers must have financed or leased a new Genesis vehicle through Genesis Finance, and then experience an involuntary job loss any time up until December 31, 2020. There are certain restrictions and proof of job loss would be required.
2019 Genesis G70 eligible for payment deferral
Additionally, for customers who purchase a new 2019 Genesis G70 model financed through Genesis Finance by April 30, 2020, Genesis will defer payments for 120 days.
During its short time as a stand-alone luxury brand from South Korea, Genesis has developed a reputation for backing the needs of its customers. “At Genesis, we pride ourselves on consistently putting our customers’ needs first,” said Mark Del Rosso, President, and CEO, Genesis Motor North America. Citing uncertain times created by the coronavirus and the general anxiety being felt throughout America, “we wanted to step forward for our customers and help alleviate at least some of the potential concerns they may have,” he said.
Under terms of the Genesis Cares Job Loss Protection plan, the program will provide six months of payment relief for customers who lose their jobs after purchasing a new Genesis vehicle between March 14 and April 30, 2020. All customers regardless of employment history, who purchased from a Genesis retailer and financed or leased through Genesis Finance would qualify for the plan if they suffered an involuntary job loss. COVID-19 related payments are available through December 31, 2020.
