Ent Credit Union is fighting food insecurity in its own backyard through a $50,000 donation to Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver), one year after the grand opening of Rowdy’s Corner. MSU Denver’s reinvented food pantry, which helps supply nutritious and healthy food through a charitable food system on-campus, received $30,000 of the funding. The additional $20,000 in funding is earmarked for research efforts and MSU Denver’s Student Emergency Fund. Almost one year ago, a heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded in the Colorado Springs community when a mass shooting left five people dead and many others injured, including one of Ent Credit Union's team members. Ent Credit Union announced a $225,000 investment in support of Early Connections Learning Centers, a leading provider of early childhood education and care in Colorado Springs. The funding will support Early Connections work to build a new child care facility, the Alice Bemis Taylor Center for Early Childhood Education (ABT Center). The Center will increase infant and toddler care availability and will also serve as a regional professional development hub supporting the recruitment, training, and retention of early educators. Ent Credit Union is celebrating a major milestone—growing 500,000 members strong—by giving back to the community with a book collection drive. All 52 Ent service centers, from its southernmost location in Rye to its northernmost in Fort Collins, will collect book donations from its members. Calling all Colorado nonprofits: Ent Credit Union has opened its grant application process for the 2023 Youth Endowment Series (YES) grant through March 13, 2023. Ent will award $200,000 in grant funding to nonprofit organizations that provide youth programming; all 501(c)(3) nonprofits are eligible to apply provided its programs support Colorado youth.
