My Students

We are introducing a 6th Grade next year and the computer lab is stuffy. We do not have air conditioning in this school, and it is hot in the lab especially during testing Season. We have had to cut our days in half (which extends testing) and then we have a tough time having all the students finish in the window provided.

In addition we have a Homework Help that meets in the lab three days a week.

During this session, kids get snacks and have a chance to work on homework in a constructive environment where they can also ask teachers for help.

We would like help with fans and possibly a window air conditioning unit.

My Project

Our students can continue to be successful, when they have the tools they need to perform their work! The computer lab is a great place to learn and grow. Three days a week our mentors allow students to sign in and sit down and work in an environment that is great for learning. If they have a question, then they can ask one of our mentors who are trained to provide help in specific subject areas. These resources will be used by the students and will have a direct impact on their success.
