My students currently are enrolled in an urban sixth through eighth grade middle school magnet center in South-Central Los Angeles. Our community is close-knit, however many students are English Learners and many are currently on the free and reduced lunch program. I have a blended classroom, teaching English and Computer programming in the same classroom. Through grants I am able to provide current technology for my students, however I strive to develop and grow their literacy skills in English and make them lifelong lovers of language, reading, and writing.
