Veteran quarterback, leader and tough competitor who is in his fifth and final season on Rocky Top … Played in 41 games with 32 starts … Thrown for 6,174 yards and 38 touchdowns on 494-of-808 pass attempts (61.1%) ... Owns three career 300-yard games, 13 career multi-touchdown pass games and joined Peyton Manning and Tyler Bray as the only Vols to throw for 400 yards in a game … Ranks seventh in Tennessee history in passing yards (6,174), sixth in passing touchdowns (38), seventh in completions (494) and seventh in total offense (6,122) … Accounted for 43 career scores – 38 passing and five rushing … Will wear the SEC graduate patch in 2020 after earning degree in 2019 and working toward his master’s degree.

Was 13-of-24 passing for 162 yards and two TDs against #2 Alabama (10/24) ... Passed for 215 yards and two TDs at #3 Georgia (10/10), moving into a tie for sixth on UT's career TD passes list ... Accounted for three total touchdowns and set a career high with two rushing touchdowns in win vs. Missouri (10/3) ... Scored UT’s first touchdown of the year with a one-yard quarterback sneak in season-opening win at South Carolina (9/26) ... 2019 – RS-JUNIOR

Led Tennessee with 2,158 passing yards and 16 touchdowns, while completing 152-of-257 pass attempts ... Averaged 14.2 yards per completion, tops in the SEC ... Played in all 13 games and made seven starts ... Spearheaded UT's six-game win streak to end the season as a "sixth-man" ... Came off the bench to lead the Vols to victories against Mississippi State, South Carolina, UAB and Kentucky ... Broke his non-throwing wrist against South Carolina (10/26) but never missed a game ... In first start since Sept. 21, passed for a career-high 415 yards against a Missouri defense that was ranked sixth nationally in pass defense to propel the Vols to a bowl berth (11/23) ... 2018 – RS-SOPHOMORE 

Showed drastic improvement in his second year as a starter with the Vols, passing for 1,907 yards and 12 touchdowns with just three interceptions … Started all 12 games … Shattered the UT record for consecutive pass attempts without an interception by tossing 166 straight passes without a pick, breaking the old mark of 143 set by Casey Clausen in 2003 … Completed 153-of-246 passes for a 62.2 completion percentage and finished with a 140.97 passer rating … His three interceptions were the lowest total by a Vols’ starting quarterback since Condredge Holloway also threw only three picks in 1972 … Capped the season with 139 yards and one touchdown in the season finale at Vanderbilt (11/24) … Finished 12-for-20 with 197 yards and two touchdowns in the 24-7 upset win over No. 11 Kentucky (11/10) … Tossed a 39-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass to Marquez Callaway as time expired in the first half versus the Wildcats … Finished with a season-high 76.6 completion percentage (16-of-21) against Charlotte and 172 yards … Tallied then-career highs in attempts (39) and completions (27), while passing for 207 yards and two scores at South Carolina (10/27) … Injuries forced him to miss the majority of games against Alabama and Missouri, but the resilient redshirt sophomore never missed a start … Led Tennessee to a 30-24 upset at No. 21 Auburn (10/13) by passing for a career-best 328 yards and two touchdowns on 21-of-32 attempts … Captured several National Player of the Week honors following the win over the Tigers and earned his first career SEC Offensive Player of the Week honor … Finished 8-of-8 passing for 168 yards and one touchdown on 3rd-and-8 or longer in the win at Jordan-Hare Stadium … Threw for 143 yards and tied his career high with two passing touchdowns at No. 2 Georgia (9/29) ... Tallied 164 passing yards in SEC opener vs. Florida (9/22) … Connected on 12-of-16 passes for 168 yards against UTEP … Had two game-high 51-yard passes to Marquez Callaway and Josh Palmer in the home opener against ETSU (9/8) en route to 154 yards … Began the season by completing 19-of-25 passes for 172 yards and one touchdown with no turnovers vs. West Virginia at the Belk College Kickoff in Charlotte (9/1) … Completed a 4th-and-goal touchdown pass to tight end Dom Wood-Anderson for the Vols’ first score of 2018.

2017 – RS-FRESHMAN 

Demonstrated impressive toughness as the Vols’ starting quarterback in the second half of the season … Started six games and appeared in nine contests … Finished with 997 passing yards and four touchdowns with a completion percentage of 62.0 (82-of-139) … Set a then-career high with two touchdown passes against Vanderbilt (11/25) to cap the season … Threw 60-yard pass vs. LSU and completed 12-of-23 passes for 239 yards and one touchdown (11/18) … Finished 9-of-13 for 102 passing yards and scored his first career rushing touchdown in win over Southern Miss (11/4) …Threw for 242 yards in close loss at Kentucky (10/28) … Made first career start in a loss vs. South Carolina (10/14) in Neyland Stadium, completing 11-of-18 passes for 133 yards.

Full name is Jarrett James Guarantano … Born on Nov. 14, 1997 … Son of James and Karen Guarantano … Father, James, was a star wide receiver at Rutgers from 1989-92, setting the school record for career receptions and later joining the Rutgers Hall of Fame … Has one sister, Victoria, who is also a Tennessee student ... Completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology in December 2019 and is pursuing a master’s degree in agricultural leadership, education and communications … Recipient of the Phillip Fulmer Award for Excellence Scholarship.
