OCT. 1, 2020.....Federal regulators on Thursday ordered energy giant Enbridge to investigate two recent emergency shutdowns at the brand new Weymouth compressor station and draft a plan to minimize risks once operations at the facility restart following a pause.

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration required the company to take corrective action following two incidents in a three-week span, writing Thursday that the large volumes of natural gas released during the shutdowns and the station's location near densely populated neighborhoods create significant risks.
