The District Attorney's Office is responsible for a wide variety of legal work, including prosecution of all felony criminal matters in Salt Lake County, as well as handling civil governmental legal work and government litigation.
Our staff of 255 Deputy District Attorneys, Paralegals, Investigators, Legal Secretaries, and other support staff comprise the largest criminal prosecutorial agency in the State of Utah.
If you are a victim of a crime and criminal charges have been filed on the defendant by the District Attorney’s office, the staff at the Victim Services program provide kind and caring support to help you as the case proceeds through the criminal justice process.

When a serious crime has occurred to a child or teenager, the Children’s Justice Center is ready to provide kind support to the child victim and family. A fairly short visit to the program and the child will receive supportive comfort and be able to talk to
