MARC

The Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) program at Georgia State University is an undergraduate research education and training program grounded in research-focused STEM departments. Funded through a grant from the National Institutes of Health, the goal of the MARC program is to support students from underrepresented groups in preparing for careers in biomedical research, starting with undergraduate research and moving directly into Masters and Ph.D. programs in related fields. The MARC program is a 2-year commitment that includes paid research assistantships, required research presentations, summer research experience at a university other than GSU, some program-specific classes, and professional development workshops.
