How to join


Step 1:  Complete the form below to schedule an in-person or phone/Zoom orientation appointment. You can also walk in to talk to Mr. Gomez in room 103 @ the Venice Skills Center.

Step 2: Make sure that you have a copy of your latest transcript that you can email to    mgomez05@lausd.net

***You can be eligible to borrow a computer and internet service to complete your assignments***

After you have an in-person or phone/Zoom orientation with Mr. Gomez to determine if the ACCT Program is the best option for you, you will stop by the school to pick up the enrollment packet, complete a school and HiSET profile, get an acceptance referral, and take the CASAS pre-test (reading test).  


Enrollment steps:

a) Come to room 103 at the Venice Skills Center to talk to Mr. Gomez to start the enrollment process.   Ask your counselor to email you and Mr. Gomez a copy of your transcript to mgomez05@lausd.net. Your transcript will be evaluated to determine the classes you still need to complete to earn your high school diploma.


b) We'll discuss the options available to earn your high school diploma and explain how the program works.  


c) If you decide to join our program, you will take the acceptance referral form to your last or home school to request your Pupil Accounting Report (PAR) and an official transcript.


d) You will complete the enrollment packet and return it.


e) After Mr. Gomez gives you your school email, District ID#, and PIN, you will activate your LAUSD Single-Sign-On account to access Schoology, school email, and Microsoft 365.

g) We will assign you your first class after completing all the paperwork. 


Then you will be on your way to earning your high school diploma and creating a better future for yourself and your family.
