Introduction

Welcome to The Discovery Database Project. The purpose of this website is to gather and share Virginia’s cultural, historical, and scientific resources to support teaching in core curricular areas such as reading, writing, history, geography, civics and economics, and STEM.

The intent is to provide a user-friendly site for finding and inspiring curriculum-aligned resources originating from Virginia’s museum collections, historical sites, science center exhibits, and other environments in which learning can take place.
