This buddy system is set up as a virtual mentorship, where older students help younger students learn through watching videos or doing virtual lessons and activities together. While also, giving younger students an outlet to talk, decompress and gain advice.

Why Quarantine Buddy?

  • Gives younger students an outlet to talk, decompress and gain advice while learning about new topics and hobbies.

  • Gives High School students another way to get volunteer hours while social distancing times.

  • Gives students extra help with homework that parents are not able to provide.

Who can be a Quarantine Buddy?

There are two types of Quarantine Buddies, mentors and mentees. Mentors are High School students that have gone through an application process and received at least two outstanding teacher recommendations. Mentees are students in Elementary and Middle School that have gone through a student verification process, to insure that they are a good fit.

Where will Quarantine Buddy be held?

Quarantine Buddy will be all online, through Remind, Google Classroom, and Zoom.

When will Quarantine Buddy start and end?

  • Quarantine Buddy will be held for 4-weeks

    • Starting approximately on May 12th and ending May 28th

When will Quarantine Buddy start and how often will sessions be held?

Quarantine Buddy will start approximately by May 12th and last until May 28th, with sessions being held twice a week for an hour.
