Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry

Who We Arestudent led emergency food assistance program, striving to serve clients with balanced meals through non-perishables and fresh produce from our own garden. Dedicated to nourishing bodies, empowering minds, and creating a community of compassion.

Who We Servewe serve anyone with a U of A or UAMS ID and their household: Students, staff and faculty, as well as university retirees, Chartwells employees, and temporary or hourly employees. We provide a three day supply of groceries and personal care items, up to two times per week, for the entire household.

University Food Insecurity StudyIn 2015 the Center for Community Engagement and the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry conducted a survey on food insecurity among U of A students.

Our research, which has shown to be consistent with national research on the topic, shows that 38% of students on our campus have encountered food insecurity. Additionally, while 54% of students are aware that a pantry exists on campus, only 2% of those students have used it.

To learn more about student food insecurity on the U of A campus please see the full report here.

ORDER OPTIONS

All pantry orders are placed and managed through PantrySoft, our pantry’s inventory management system. To place an order, you will first create a PantrySoft account and then select your order type. You can view a tutorial on how to register through PantrySoft here.

Express

When placing an order online through our client order system, you may request to pick up your order from a few select locations. Most often, these options include a location at the UAMS Campus, Research and Technology Park, and the Uptown Campus. Our pantry volunteers deliver to these specific locations on a weekly basis.

Lockers

Our lockers aim to meet client needs who cannot collect their pantry order during pantry open hours. You may request a locker order when placing your order online and you will receive a follow-up email once your order has been filled and placed in the pantry lockers located at our pantry entrance.

In-person

Stop by the pantry during pantry open hours to place your order and have it fulfilled right then. You can also place your order online before coming to the pantry during open hours to have it pre-packed before your arrival.

Mini-pantries

These pantries are made possible through campus community partnerships. Departments partner with the food pantry to maintain and keep their mini-pantry stocked throughout the semester. Full Circle traditionally only provides stock to these pantries at the beginning of the semester.

Full Circle Express
