2021-22: Ushered in his days as an upperclassman by maintaining his status as one of the premier players in the Western Athletic Conference...Played in 32 of NM State's 34 games and started each one he took part in...Averaged 11.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and a team-leading 3.2 assists in 32.4 minutes per game...Wrapped up the season with shooting splits of .389/.341/.779...Posted 22 games of 10 or more points which included four outings of 20 or more points...Totaled two double-doubles...Matched his career-high by passing out eight assists during a non-conference home loss to New Mexico (Nov. 30)...Drained a game-winning three-pointer with 1.9 seconds remaining to cap off a 19-point outing in his team's thrilling non-conference win over Texas rival UTEP (Dec. 3)...Logged a career-high 41 minutes and finished with six points, seven rebounds and six assists in an overtime win at in-state rival New Mexico (Dec. 6)...Pumped in a season-high 22 points on a 5-of-8 showing from the field to help his team score a non-conference win at Washington State (Dec. 15)...That win over Washington State was the program's first true road win over a Power Five opponent since 2016...Finished off the first of his two double-double efforts by springing for a career-best 12 rebounds to go along with 18 points in a WAC home win over Grand Canyon (Jan. 29)...Reached the 1,000-career point milestone by going for 10 points in a WAC loss at Utah Valley (Feb. 12)...Helped NM State capture its fourth WAC regular-season title in the last five seasons...Helped NM State claim the WAC Tournament championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament...Helped NM State win its first NCAA Tournament game since 1993 with a 70-63 first-round win over #21/21 and fifth-seeded UConn (March 17).

2020-21: Continued his upward progression as one of the Aggies' best players in his inaugural season as an upperclassman...Played - and started - in 18 of NM State's 20 games...Averaged 13.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 30.2 minutes per game...Led NM State in minutes, minutes per game, field goals made, field goal attempts, three-pointers made, three-point field goal attempts, free throw percentage, points and points per game...Begin the season with six consecutive games of 10 or more points...Corralled a career-best six offensive rebounds during his team's season-opening win at Arizona Christian (Nov. 29)...Turned in three 20-point performances, the first of which came in a WAC victory over California Baptist (Feb. 5)...Matched a career-high by passing out six assists in a WAC loss at Seattle U (Feb. 12)...Blocked a pair of shots - tying a career high in that department - in a WAC triumph over UTRGV (March 2)...Drained a career-best five three-pointers while establishing a career-high in three-point field goal tries (12) and matching his career high in field goal attempts (16) in a WAC victory at Dixie State (March 5). 

2019-20: Dodged the sophomore slump in a big way by becoming one of the Aggies' focal points...Took part in 30 of the team's 31 games and made 19 appearances in the starting lineup...Topped the Aggies' charts in total points (384), free throws made (86) and free throw percentage (.827)...Ranked second on the team in scoring (12.8 ppg), total minutes (790), minutes per game (26.3) and three-pointers made (50)...Generated 10 or more points 21 times and amassed 20 or more points five times...Came up with the first double-double of his career with a 13-point, 10-rebound performance while also tying a career high with three steals in a home WAC victory over Kansas City (1/11)...Snared a season and career-best 11 rebounds as part of another double-double in a WAC road triumph at Seattle (1/18)...Hoisted up season and career-highs in field goal attempts (16) and three-point field goal attempts (11) during a home WAC victory over Grand Canyon (2/1)...Came up with the best game of his career thus far by producing career-highs in points (29), field goals made (eight), free throws made (nine) and free throw attempts (11) while matching his career-high with four three-pointers - including the game-winner with 0.6 seconds left - in a WAC home win against Utah Valley (2/15)...Conjured up a career-best two blocked shots in a home WAC triumph over California Baptist (3/5)...Helped the Aggies capture their third-consecutive WAC regular season title while ending the season in a 19-game winning streak that ranked as the second-longest in the nation. 

2018-19: Played in 31-of-34 games this season as a reserve off the bench while also starting in five… scored in his first 14 games as an Aggie…made his Aggie debut against North Dakota State (11/6) with a point, 4 rebounds, and two steals…made his first collegiate basket against Battle of I-10 rival UTEP (11/9) with 6 points and 6 rebounds…season-high 10 points against Drake (12/22) on with five boards and two assists…tied his season-high with 10 points against Chicago State (2/2) at home.

2017-18: Redshirted.

High School: Two-year letterman guided Fort Bend Marshall High School to the University Interscholastic League 5A Regional Championship as a senior and was named to the UIL All-State Team for 5A players…Buffs finished the season 32-8 overall and 13-3 in district play before falling in the 2017 UIL State Championship game…13-3 league mark was good tied for second-best…also named Second-Team All-State by TexasHoops.com…led Fort Bend Marshall to quarterfinals in the UIL Region III State Playoffs Tournament…finished his junior campaign 25-11 overall with a 9-5 record in district play.
 
Personal: Son of Jerimiah Rice and Tyshera Hendon…has four younger brothers, Deveon Byrd, Desean Hendon, Kingdon Rice and Landon Rice as well as an older sister, Princess Rice…majoring in individualized studies.
