2019-20 | Starred as the best interior player in the WAC during his final season of college basketball...Was the only player on the team to play and start all 31 of the team's contests...Averaged 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 24.9 minutes per game...Put up shooting splits of .597/.333/.650 through the season...Led the team in free throw attempts (120) and field goals made (136)...In WAC play, led the team in scoring (13.6 ppg) and ranked second in rebounding (6.3)...Recorded 10 or more points in 16 games...Blocked a career-high two shots in a neutral site win over USF in the Cayman Classic (11/26)...Took a season-high 13 free throw attempts in a non-conference home win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (12/18)...Passed out a season-high three assists in a WAC home win over Kansas City (1/11)...Posted his lone double-double of the season by recording 19 points and a career-high 11 rebounds in a WAC road win at Seattle U (1/18)...Tied his career-high by netting 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting in a WAC victory at Kansas City (2/8)...Helped the Aggies capture their third-consecutive WAC regular season title while ending the season in a 19-game winning streak that ranked as the second-longest in the nation. 

2018-19: Played in 32 games in his first year in the Crimson & White with 12 starts and helped NM State win its second-straight regular-season title and third-straight WAC Tournament title while earning its 22nd NCAA Tournament berth...made his Aggie debut against North Dakota State (11/6) with 9 points and 4 rebounds…followed up with 11 points against UTEP (11/9) and 12 points with 6 rebounds against Saint Mary’s (11/14)…recorded his first double-double at the Division I level against Battle of I-25 rival New Mexico (12/4) with 23 points and 11 boards on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor…followed up with 14 points against then-No. 2/2 Kansas…scored 20 points with 10 boards against Northern Colorado (12/17) at home…tallied 15 points and 10 boards on the road at Colorado State…posted 20 points and 11 rebounds at home against Grand Canyon (1/10)…had 12 points against UTRGV (1/26) before leaving with knee injury…scored 20 points with 7 rebounds at home against the Vaqueros (2/23)…had 16 points and 7 rebounds on 7-of-9 shooting against Grand Canyon (3/16) in the WAC Tournament Championship game…recorded 13 points and nine rebounds on 4-of-6 shooting against #5 Auburn (3/21) in the NCAA Tournament.

2017-18 (Indian Hills CC): Guided Indian Hills Community College to its fifth-consecutive National Junior College Athletic Associational National Championship appearance as a sophomore…went undefeated in the regular-season and regional playoffs before finishing with a 33-1 overall record – which was a program record in wins…earned Iowa Community College Athletic Conference All-Region First-Team for the second-straight year after averaging a double-double with 13.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per game…was effective around the basket, shooting 59.2-percent from the floor while starting in 28-of-31 games…posted double-digit points in 22-of-31 games to go with 17 double-doubles on the year while pulling down 10-plus boards in 19 games – including a career-high 25 rebounds against Harcum College (12/16)...comes to NM State as the No. 10 ranked JUCO player according to JucoRecruiting.com.

2016-17 (Indian Hills CC): Started in 25-of-33 games as a freshman at IHCC…earned ICCAC All-Region First-Team honors after guiding the Warriors to an NJCAA Region XI Championship and ninth-straight league title…finished his first collegiate season averaging 9.8 points and 9.4 rebounds…started his college career with 11 points against Carl Sandburg (11/3) and followed up with 12 points against Southeastern Illinois (11/4)…recorded his first double-double against Polk State (11/25) with 20 points and 14 rebounds…had a stretch of eight-straight games with double-digit rebounds, three of which with 20-plus boards in February…also had double-doubles in seven of those eight games during that stretch.

High School: Was a member of the Canarias Basketball Academy...competed in several tournaments in the United States.

Personal: Son of Pedro Aurrecoechea and Maria Del Carmen...has a younger brother, Raul...mother Maria played basketball professional in Spain for Tintoreto...majoring in individualized studies.
