Laurie Dodge

Vice President of Quality Assurance and Accreditation for Competency-Based Education Network (C-BEN)

Dr. Laurie Dodge is the Vice President of Quality Assurance and Accreditation for Competency-Based Education Network (C-BEN). Dodge has more than three decades at leading higher education institutions, most recently serving as the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at the University of Massachusetts Global. Dr. Dodge also served as UMass Global’s Accreditation Liaison Officer and currently holds the title of Professor Emeritus.

Dr. Dodge is a member of the WASC Senior College and University Commission Substantive Change Committee and has participated on numerous national and
international accreditation site visit team panels. Dodge helped lead the creation of direct assessment competency-based education programs at her university, engaged in the Credential Engine and Comprehensive Learner Record national initiatives, and was the inaugural and Past President of the Board of Directors for C-BEN. Dr. Dodge was named one of “The Sixteen Most Innovative People in Higher Education” by Washington Monthly (2016). Laurie earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Ball State University and prior to her work in higher education, she was a school psychologist in Indiana, West Virginia, and California. Dr. Dodge lives in beautiful San Luis Obispo, CA with her husband and giant St. Bernard puppy.
