My Projects:

“M" is for Monochromatic! I chose this particular style for the name game because I have found with slight color variations and some texture you can make really classy-looking cards (my favorite).

Card 1

The Dotted Swirls cover plate gives a lovely yet interesting background design. Using various cardstock I assembled the Virginia Rose 3D die. Add a sweet sentiment and you’re done!
*Note: If you don’t have colored shades of cardstock Altenew Inks can be used to color white stock for a similar effect. Add splatter, texture paste, glitter or embossing powders for added interest.

Card 2

For this slimline card I cut a piece of gray stock and stamped some leaves from the Leaf Clusters Stamp & Die Bundle along the left side of the card then embossed the panel with the Organic Linen 3D embossing folder (one of my faves!). Trim the piece to cover the top half of a gray base and adhere. Separately, I stamped the Cattleya BAF using warm gray and green inks. The sentiment comes from the Beautiful Inside stamp set. Layer those flowers along the side and done!

Card 3

For my final card, also slimline, I stayed with gray and white cardstocks for a classic wedding card. I followed the same steps as above however, the focal point here is the Virgina Rose 3D die...isn’t she lovely?! The sentiment here comes from the Vintage Roses set.

I hope you have found some inspiration here and will give a monochromatic theme a try😀  If there are any questions, please let me know. Next on the hop is Irina Fonina.  If you get lost along the way below is the complete Blog hop list. Enjoy!

Now on to some cards.
I created two Christmas cards to share with you today. Both cards finished size are 5x7 or A7 as they are also called.

Card #1

For this card I used Altenew’s Holiday Bows stamp set, the poinsettia and foliage are perfect for creating floral groupings I stamped and die cut several of the images, stamped and heat embossed. I also cut several geometric Crystal Frames from Altenew’s gold foil cardstock.  For my base I used Navy card and splattered with white gesso. I placed my cut images along the left side while placing the crystal frames thought the foliage. The sentiment was created by using the Mini Christmas set and Beautiful Inside sentiment stamp set. Once everything was adhered to the panel I mounted it onto a white base.

Card #2

My second card displays the newer released Sweet Flowers stamp/die bundle paired again with the Crystal Frames dies. My process was the same as before; stamping/cutting several images and then playing with the layout on my panel. I stayed with a classic themed red/white/green color palette. The gold frames add a festive and elegant touch. Once again the sentiment came from the Beautiful Inside stamp set. I wanted to have a green border and did not have the right colored cardstock so I took a piece of white card and colored the edges with the same Shadow Creek ink I used for some of the flowers.

I hope I’ve inspired you to make some more Christmas cards! Keep “hopping” along to see loads more inspiring work. Next on the hop is Rosie Neustaedter
