School Day Learning Space at reDiscover Center

reDiscover Center is starting a small group School Day Learning Space in our Rear Studio/Warehouse (lots of light, lots of fresh air, solid COVID safety protocols). This program begins the week of September 14. Students get individual workstations, tech support, and tinkering activities during asynchronous instruction time. 8:30-12:30 daily. Email mail@rediscovercenter.org to preregister for this program or for more information.

In-Person and Online Tinkering

Fall Programming 2020 both in-person and Online!

Online Homeschool and After School Classes:

Once a week for two hours, a group of up to 6 students connects with one our fabulous Facilitators to make amazing projects. This is no sit-and-watch class, students will spend most of their time with hands on building using recycled materials and a Tinkering Tool Kit. Sign up for morning or afternoon classes on Mondays or Thursdays or contact us at mail@rediscovercenter.org to set a group just for your school or after school program.

At-Home Tinkering Together:
Bring a week of reDiscover exploration to your home! We will provide flexible tool kits and materials, instructions for tool safety, video chat guidance for parents, and exciting activities to take both child and parent on a journey of skill building and imagination. We will give you prompts and projects to fill 2-4 hours per day (taking breaks when needed). If you want to keep going, the sky’s the limit! Sign up for one or more weeks.

In-Person After School Tinkering Classes:
Visit reDiscover for two hours a week to make some of your favorite things! Each series has its own theme. We will be using our Tinkering Tool Kit to explore creative reuse materials to sketch in 3D, solve problems, and make fabulous new items. We will be using the individual workstations that worked so well at Tinkering Camp, spaced and designed for physical distancing.

Want a custom program? If you have a group of 4 or more tinkerers, email your preferred time and format to tinkering@rediscovercenter.org.

All Tinkering programs are based on the Tinkering Tool Kit, packed with our favorite high quality tools and materials. Just add cardboard and other recyclables to get started with adventurous designing, making, and tinkering. Tinkering develops children's creative expression through open-ended prompts, ongoing guidance, and positive relationships that create a culture of tinkering. These programs include small classes, fun social activities, and dynamic Facilitators. Keep active with hands-on making all day!
