USGS: 3.6 magnitude earthquake strikes off coast of Petrolia Tuesday

PETROLIA, Calif. — A 3.6 magnitude earthquake shook 64 miles off the coast of Petrolia Tuesday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

According to the USGS, the earthquake hit at 4:34 p.m. at a depth of 1.4 miles.

No tsunami warnings or watches were in place as a result of this earthquake, and no damage or injuries have been reported.
