“FOX31 Problem Solvers: Serving Those Who Serve” is an initiative that builds on the stories FOX31 Denver KDVR has been telling for years by shining a spotlight on our military and their families. Through the comprehensive initiative, veterans, active service members, their families, and volunteers who serve our military will share their stories with the community, as well as connect with resources and organizations that serve our military men and women.

In addition, as part of “Serving Those Who Serve,” FOX31 Denver will be honoring a hero who exemplifies what it means to serve our country. Of course, heroes come in many shapes and sizes: active military, veterans, military families, volunteers who make a difference in the lives of those who serve – even pooches who give their lives in the service of our military men and women. We will be telling their stories, honoring the work they do and giving back a little to those who give so much. If you know of a hero who exemplifies extraordinary courage and commitment, we’d love to hear from you! Click here to fill out a nomination form.

“Colorado has a rich military history and presence as well as a sizable veteran population. For us to be able to showcase these brave men and women and their families, as well as offer guidance to resources, is an exciting step forward for FOX31 and our community,” said Joan Barrett, Vice President and General Manager of KDVR-TV/KWGN-TV.
