ONLINE ONLY: Community Conversations - Speaking of Race

Event Type: Adult Program
Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 7/21/2020
Start Time: 5:00 PM
End Time: 6:45 PM
Description:
How do we talk to each other about race? This conversation will be held via Zoom. Space is limited and registration is required. Zoom invites will be sent out the day prior to the event.

How can we understand people's lived experiences of systemic racism or privilege? Join us as we seek to understand one another and contemplate our experiences of race in America. Our first virtual Community Conversation (to be held over Zoom) will include discussion among participants, as well as insights from two community members.

Every quarter we offer a Community Conversation event for community members of all backgrounds to share stories and discuss issues that matter. There's an open feeling of trust and a bubbling up of ideas that break down the silos that are dividing our communities across the country.

The goal of Community Conversations is to expand our sense of neighborhood - across all economic, political, cultural, and racial boundaries. We believe in the power of connections and friendships to bridge any divides. All of our conversations stem from a strong commitment to curiosity, compassion, and community.
