Biography

2021-22 (Junior):
  • Awards and Honors: Named to the MPSF All Academic Team, as well as three MPSF first team selections (one-meter, three-meter and platform dives).
  • Placed at No.1 in the one-meter, No.2 in the three-meter, and No.3 in the ten-meter dives at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 16-19, 2022).

2020-2021 (Sophomore):
  • Awards and Honors: CSCAA Scholar All-American, MPSF All-Academic, MPSF First Team (1-meter and 3-meter). 
  • Qualified for the 2021 NCAA Championships in Greensboro, N.C., competing in the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
  • Placed at No. 20 position in the NCAA Championships of the 3-meter, and No. 33 in the 1-meter. 
  • For the second consecutive season claimed gold in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events of the MPSF Championships. Scoring a 338.25 in the 3-meter and a 315.90 in the 1-meter.
2019-20 (Freshman):
  • Awards and Honors: MPSF Female Diver of the Year and named an CSCAA All-American. 
  • Qualified for the 2020 NCAA Championships which were canceled.
  • Debuted at the UCLA Bruin Diving Invitational (Jan. 17-19), winning the 1-meter (302.35 & 298.70) and placing second in the 3-meter event (335.25 & 320.90).
  • Recorded 1st place finishes in the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 20-22). Daphne set new MPSF conference records in both events with a score of 363.00 on the 1-meter, and 388.40 on the 3-meter.  These scores were also new University of Hawaii School Records.
  • She broke the 1-meter UH school record of Hawaii’s 2008 NCAA champion, Emma Friesen
  • She broke the 3-meter school record of Hawaii’s 2005 NCAA champion QiongJie Huang (Ajie Drew)
  • Daphne qualified for the NCAA National Championships on the 1-meter and 3-meter after taking first place in both events at the NCAA Zone E Championships (Mar. 9-10).  Compiled a score of 634.80 in the 1-meter event (two 6-dive lists of 312.00 and 322.80) and a compiled score on 3-meter of 689.70 (two 6-dive lists of 347.50 and 342.20).
 
Prior to UH: 
  • Four-time Dutch National Champion in both the 1-meter and the 3-meter springboard events.
  • 15-time Dutch Jr. National Champion in the 1-meter, 3-meter, and Platform.
  • Currently, the Dutch record holder in the 1-meter springboard event.
  • Placed third in the 2017 European Championships in the 3-meter synchronized diving event.
  • 1-meter finalist (9th place) at the 2019 European Championships
  • Member of the Dutch National Team.
