Biography

2021-22 (Graduate):
  • Awards and Honors: Named to the MPSF All-Academic Team, as well as four MPSF first team selections (200 medley relay, 50 freestyle, 100 breastroke, and 200 freestyle relay) as well as two second team selections (400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay).
  • Placed at No.1 in the 50 yard freestyle event, as well as claiming No.3 in both the 100 yard freestyle and 100 yard breastroke events at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 16-19, 2022).
  • Finished at No.1 in the 50 yard freestyle event and No.2 in the 100 yard breastroke event at the tri-meet against UNLV and Wyoming (Jan. 28-29, 2022).
  • Competed in four events at the Toyota US Open , finishing as high as No.5 in the 50 long distance freestyle event (Dec. 1-4, 2021).
  • Claimed No.1 in the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard freestule, and 100 yard breastroke events at the Southern Methodist Invitational (Nov. 18-20, 2021).
  • During the tri-meet against Arizona and Wisconsin, placed at No.2 in the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard freestyle events (Oct. 22-23, 2021).
2020-2021 (Senior):
  • Awards and Honors: NCSAA Scholar Honorable Mention MPSF All-Academic Team, MPSF First Team (200 Medley Relay, 50 Free, 200 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay, 100 Breast, 100 Free) MPSF Second Team (400 Free Relay).
  • Notched a team-high six MPSF First Team selections, including being a part of all three championship relay teams, while claiming two individual titles in the 50 and 100 free. 
  • During the MPSF Championships, she recorded four personal bests including the 50 free (22.71), 100 free (49.56), 50 breast (28.92), and 100 breast (1:01.12).
  • Record three first-place finishes at the double dual with Wyoming and UNLV (Jan. 28-29) including the 50 free, 100 breast, and 200 individual medley. 
2019-20 (Junior):
  • Awards and Honors: MPSF First-Team (200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 400 IM, 400 free relay), MPSF Second-Team (800 free relay, 200 IM, 100 free), MPSF All-Academic Team
  • Turned in a strong showing at the MPSF Championships (Feb.19-22) placing at No. 3 in the 400 individual medley, No. 5 of the 200 individual medley, and No. 7 in the 100 free. 
  • Finished at No. 2 of the 100 free, No. 4 in the 400 IM, and No. 5 of the 200 free against Minnesota (Jan. 11). 
  • Claimed a No. 2 finish in the 200 IM against Wisconsin and Drury (Jan. 9).
  • Placed at No. 10 in both the 200 IM and 400 IM of the Art Adamson Invitational (Nov. 21-23).
  • Finished No. 3 of the 200 IM in a tri-match with Arizona and Denver.
2018-19 (Sophomore):
  • Awards and honors: MPSF All-Academic, Peter Chi Most Inspirational Award
  • CSU Bakersfield Sprint Classic (Oct. 19): placed second and third in the 100 IM (58.77) and 400 IM (4:28.38)
  • Roadrunner Invite (Oct. 20): finished eighth, seventh, and third in the 100 free (53.82), 200 free (1:55.50), and 200 IM (2:07.57)
  • Hawaiian Swimming Senior Fall Championship (Nov. 9-11): in prelims, placed second and first in the 100 breast (1:03.86) and 200 IM (2:09.39)
  • Art Adamson Invitational (Nov. 14-16): competed in six events, recorded a personal best in the 50 free (23.44) as well as season bests in the 100 free (51.00), 200 IM (2:01.27), and 400 IM (4:23.68), finished 15th in the 100 breast (1:03.94), and did not place in the 50 breast (29.98)
  • MPSF Championships (Feb. 21-23): collected a season best and third in the 200 IM (2:01.11), recorded personal bests and placed second in the 100 free (50.10) and 400 IM (4:16.63), and another personal best in the 200 free (1:49.06)
2017-18 (Freshman):
  • Awards and honors: Earned three-first team All-MPSF honors in 200 IM, 400 IM and 400 Free Relay and garnered one second-team honors in 100 Free. Earned MPSF All-Academic honors and named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team
  • vs. CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 28): competed in three events (50 free, 100 back, 200 back), finished in first place in the 100 back (58.23) and placed fourth in the 200 back (2:06.93)
  • vs. UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 29): competed in the 100 free and 200 free, finished 2nd (51.65) and first (1:52.49), respectively.
  • Art Adamson Invitational (Nov. 16-18): competed in five events (100 free, 200 free, 100 breast, 200 IM, 400 IM), recorded two personal best times in the 100 breast (18th, 1:02.47) and 200 free (1:51.61). Finished in 18th place in the 100 free (50.37) and nabbed a 24th place finish in the 200 IM (2:01.79). In 400 IM preliminary action, placed 30th (4:23.04).
  • vs. Drury, Minnesota (Jan. 6): competed in three events (100 free, 200 free, 400 IM), earning three top five finishes. Placed second in the 100 free (52.13), fifth in the 200 free (1:52.55) and fourth in the 400 IM (4:28.52)
  • MPSF Championship (Feb. 15-17): competed in three events (100 free, 200 IM, 400 IM), finishing in the top five in all events. Finished second and recorded personal best times in both the 200 IM (2:00.39) and 400 IM (4:19.38). In the prelim 100 free heat, finished second and recorded a personal best time (50.32). Placed fifth overall in the 100 free (50.82).
Prep:
  • Took silver at the 2016 Long Course Finnish National Championships in the 400 IM
  • Earned silver in the 200 IM and bronze in the 400 IM in the Short Course Finnish National Championships
  • Was a member of the 200 freestyle relay that set the Finnish National Record in 2015
  • Semifinalist in the 200 IM at European Junior Championships in 2013
