Has anyone seen, or tried and missed, the gyrfalcon recently?
I might have time for a third attempt this weekend.
Thanks, Kevin DeBoer Lakewood, CO

My wife (Laura) and I spent about 2 1/2 hours waiting and looking yesterday (1/9) from shortly after 10:00 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. No Gyrfalcon. Did see a Bald Eagle, Golden Eagle, 3 Red-tailed Hawks, and one Kestrel, plus lots of Crows and some Ravens.
This also was our 2nd attempt. We then headed over and again saw the Pink-footed Goose and lots of interesting waterfowl but no Barnacle Goose. I guess we should have gone there first. Good luck.
