2019: Earned All-NSIC Second-Team Honors … earned a spot on the Loper Pre-Season Invite All-Tournament Team … earned a spot on the Emerald Beach Hotel Invite All-Tournament Team … Played in 106 sets ... finished with a team-high 1,072 assists on the season ... went over 2,000 career assists against Minnesota Duluth (11/23)... averaged 10.11 assists per set and 2.63 digs per set ... recorded a career-high eight kills against Westminster (9/13) ... tied her career-high with 50 assists against Minot State (9/28) … finished the season eighth in the NSIC in assists/set with 10.11 … named to the Fall NSIC All-Academic Team.
2018: Appeared in 28 matches and played in 100 sets during her freshman season … had a career-high seven kills vs. Minot State on Oct. 19 … recorded five aces at Northern State on Oct. 13 … registered a career-high 15 digs at MSU Moorhead on Oct. 12 … Academic All-NSIC selection … on the year she compiled 93 kills, a team-high 962 assists, 27 service aces, 207 digs and 22 blocks.
High School: helped guide the Harrisburg Tigers to a combined 76-21 record. The Tigers were the State AA Champions in South Dakota during Thorson's junior season, and the 5-9 setter had a lot to do with that. Thorson was named to the South Dakota AA All-State First Team and was elected to the ESD All-Conference team. She broke the high school set assist record and currently has over 2,000 career set assists. During her sophomore season, she again led the Tigers with 486 assists and was named to the ESD All-Conference team, All-State second team and to the State AA All-Tournament team. Currently the Tigers are 19-1 overall and have locked up the No. 1 seed in the state tournament.
