Position Summary

Under direction of the Volunteer and Communications Manager, the Media Intern will capture and create media that communicates the work and impact of Project Transformation’s interns, volunteers, and community partners.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:
• Photography and Videography - Captures photo and video of summer program in action at various sites.
• Storytelling- Visits with children, interns, and volunteers to gather stories from their serving experience. Writes and edits stories, with permission. 
• Content Creation – Creates social media graphics, videos, photo slideshows, and print pieces to communicate impact. 
• Media System Management – Organizes and manages the media database, sharing content with partners when necessary. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective communicator, both written and oral
• Photography and videography experience 
• Working knowledge of digital media tools, including blog platforms, social media schedulers, video editing software, and photo/video storage platforms
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (preferred) 
• Ability to work well both independently and in team settings
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the mission of Project Transformation

Terms 

This paid position is a 20 hour/week part-time commitment, beginning May 27 through July 26. Regular hours are dependent upon assignments, and will be primarily between 9am-3pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional work required in the evenings. Travel required within the Middle Tennessee area; applicant must have reliable transportation.
