Production Support Engineer/Design & Video
Primal Screen is looking for a Production Support Engineer to support an amazing group of creative minds. You will work closely with the Director of Infrastructure to problem-solve and create solutions to challenges unique to Primal Screen. Come grow with us.

What you will be doing:
- Assist Director of Infrastructure in solving complex issues, analysis and initiatives.
- User support and account administration.
- System inventory.
- CGI render pipeline management.
- Vendor management.
- Support producers/creative staff.
The ideal candidate will have these skills and traits:
Bachelor’s Degree in computers, engineering, science, math, information technology, or entertainment technology fields, or professional experience equivalent.
Broad familiarity with information technology, both hardware and software, as well as proficiency in computer and network management
Strong analytical skills and effective troubleshooting showing curiosity, tenacity and patience.
Possesses or develops understanding of creative software/systems in use at Primal Screen, including plug-ins and software releases/upgrades
Displays strong interpersonal and customer service skills including diplomacy, tact, and flexibility. Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical audiences. Desires to help others to understand technology.
Displays interest in design and video, and is comfortable working in a creative-driven environment. Strives to acquire and refine skills that are in accord with Primal Screen’s business objectives.
Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects among many competing requests
Extra credit for the following:
A least 2 years’ experience in a technical support role in the VFX, entertainment or gaming industry:
- Mac and Windows
- media production software
- audio-visual systems
- software programming and scripting
- post production and editing
- animation/visual effects
- VR/AR
- motion capture
