Software Engineer I
Veloxiti, Inc. is an Alpharetta, Georgia based software engineering company that develops leading edge artificial intelligence applications for both military and commercial clients. We have a position open for a Software Engineer to work in a small team setting on intelligent system projects.
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- Strong background in object-oriented programming using Java or C++
- Demonstrable background in software project delivery and/or software product delivery
- Experience in agile development
- Interest in broad field of artificial intelligence, particularly intelligent systems, natural language processing, or related areas
- Interest in the process of knowledge acquisition
- Knowledge of highly skilled domain experts – i.e., people with extensive knowledge of topics as diverse as military command and control, health care, robotics, or oil and gas production
- A strong blend of the analytical skills typically associated with engineering disciplines combined with the “soft” skills used in positions that involve a great deal of person-to-person interaction

- Must thrive on working with complex systems and trying to tame that complexity for the benefit of both users and your fellow developers.

- Team Player – must have the ability to work with flexible, agile development teams focused on two-week deliverables.
- Self-motivated – must have the capacity to work in a semi-virtual working environment
- Must be a self-starter, be able to interface with others well, and have a passion for solving a Customer’s most difficult and mission-critical problems
- A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, AI, or another engineering discipline is required
- Due to our work with the U.S. Military, we require U.S. Citizenship
