Talent Development intern

Southern Company Gas, the largest natural gas distribution only company in the U.S. and subsidiary of Southern Company, is offering a paid internship within its’ Talent Development department for the Summer of 2019 semester.
Description:
The Southern Company Gas Talent Development internship is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, dedicated, and detail-orientated individual interested in building a career in Human Resources, particularly learning/organizational development. The ideal candidate is energetic, quick-learner with a strong desire to build a broad and deep skill set in talent development. Candidates can expect to gain exposure in assessments, facilitation, design and delivery of team interventions, performance consulting and a variety of other HR/Talent/OD/learning strategies and solutions.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Work hours: 40 hours per week
Qualifications include:
- Currently enrolled juniors and seniors, or students seeking an advanced academic degree
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- U.S. citizens and permanent residents
- Strong writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Accepted majors: Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Adult Education, or a related field
Specific assignments may include, but are not limited to:
- Reporting management - Create reports on historical event/program attendance, participation rates, etc
- Coordinate logistic activities for talent initiatives and events (e.g. room reservations, calendar appointments, calls, LMS set-up, course rosters
- Schedule speakers
- Prepare content for speaker briefings
- Partner with the Print Center to prepare session materials
- Partner with Facilities on room set-up
- Co-facilitation of New Hire Orientation
- Other duties as assigned
