Student-Centered Learning in a Pandemic: Using Breakout Rooms and Collaborative Tools to Engage Students in Mathematical Exploration (grades 7-16)
Engaging students in rich problem solving and mathematical discussions can still happen remotely! Terri Magnus (Rivier University), Doris Garvey (Pinkerton Academy), and Joe Spadano (Rivier University)  will lead an interactive workshop where you will experience doing mathematics in small virtual groups. Effective use of these tools in the distanced physical or online classroom will be discussed. You might even be able to use the activity in your own classroom.

Date: Thursday, August 6
Time: 1:00-2:00 p.m.
