Can ‘One Kiss’ change your life? Jayne decides to go out one night with her girlfriends and throws caution to the wind, at their advice. She kisses a stranger and it shakes her to the core. Determined to put the experience behind her, fate has different plans for the librarian.
What would you do if ‘One Kiss’ invaded every thought and was meant to happen?

All roads lead to love. The question is what road will be taken to get to their happily ever after? One Kiss reminds me of an unfinished poem, your heart knows the ending, but your mind wants to go in another direction. Fox takes a philosophical look at what romance is. Are Jayne and Ian destiny in the making or one heartbreak short of forever? An intriguing spin on a love story.
Jayne is a librarian who has a hard time letting loose. When her friends take her out drinking one night, she promises them she will have fun. While dancing, a man comes up behind her and they start dancing. Right before she leaves, due to one of her friends being sick, the mystery man kisses her and she has never been kissed like that before. She doesn't think she will ever see him again. When a man comes in to the library to work on a paper, something draws her to him. This book was a quick, only five chapters, book. I liked the premise and the friendship between the women was good, I just wish that there would have been a little bit more about Jayne and the man she kissed. It was too short, in my opinion. I believe that a person can fall really fast for someone else, but this book felt like it was way too rushed. I personally would have liked to learn more about each character. The writing itself was good, and like I said, the premise was wonderful, but I didn't like how fast everything started and finished. If I spent money on this book and found out it was only five chapters, I think I would have been upset. Overall the book was good, but too short. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
I really, really wanted to love this little story because the blurb was very intriguing. Unfortunately, I felt like so much was left out, I couldn't fully get a grasp of what was happening.
There's nothing wrong with a short story, and given the right amount of information, they can be very fulfilling, but One Kiss just seemed to lack so much information. I wanted to love Jayne's character, but I couldn't latch on to her given the little bit the reader had to go on. I love that she was a librarian, but I almost felt like she got cheated out of what could've been. She and her friends are probably a lot of fun, but again, I was left with so many what ifs.
The writing itself was easy to follow and felt very natural, I just needed more. I hope the author surprises us with more, possibly going back to give us a full-length story or even a novella. Lots of potential, just needs some development and details.
A destiny-meeting novella filled with mystique, lust-filled dancing and the chance meeting of a lifetime.
Jayne is out with her girlfriends for a night of dancing. The nightclub is hosting a blacklight dance night which adds to the overall mystery, but also allows Jayne a chance to really let loose. During the day she works in a library with the antique/rare book collection, which is a job that requires concentration and discipline. Handling the rare artifacts is a job she loves, but it doesn't allow a lot of time for goofing off. Meeting a stranger on the dark dance floor, one who gives her sparks upon contact, is fun and exhilarating, but a once in a lifetime moment, or does destiny have other plans?
One Kiss is a quick fun read, about the opportunities for letting go and the possibilities for meeting someone special in the rarest of places.
One Kiss is a very short story about a librarian who normally doesn't let her hair down to do many fun things, until her friends drag her out for a girls night at Club Hedonism. She ends up dancing the night away with a stranger who kisses her, then she goes home without ever knowing who he is, but dreams of the super hot kiss. The next day at work, a new graduate student comes in to do some research, and Jayne helps him, then accepts a coffee date afterwards. They find they have something big in common, so if you want to know what that is, you'll have to read it for yourselves. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
As it states in the book "two people no matter what, if they are meant to meet they will." These two meet during a black light party and never see each others faces. Faith then brings them face to face the following day. This was a cute and extremely short story. I personally just didn't feel it. Maybe it was because it was to short and I felt we missed out on so much. Maybe it was that I didn't really care for the heroine. I'm not sure but this was a miss for me. Sad too cause the blurb intrigued me. "I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review."
Wow! Can One Kiss change your Life? Well if it happens the way Clara has written it, I bet it will! This book a quick summer read that will give you a sensual description of what can happen if you let lose and give in to the sensations of one night. Let passion take over and see what happens. Two people out of their element for one night. You never know what happens! I could picture the whole scene in my mind, Clara Fox held nothing back with her descriptions of this chance encounter. A definite steam ans sexy read!
Jayne goes to a club with her two best friends. They are having a black light party and her friends just want her to relax and have fun.. When she lets her guard down she ends up dancing and kissing a man and then leaves without knowing who he is. Ian meets Jayne at the library to do research and there is something about her that makes her think she is the girl from the night before. Is she and if so will One Kiss be the start of something more?
This is a short but cute little read. Can one kiss change everything? While Jayne is out with her friends she gets lost in the music and a stranger. She doesn't think she will ever see the guy again. Ian is a surprise to Jayne. I did like this novella but didn't like how short it was. The story was just getting really good when it just ends in the middle of a kiss! But if you want a quick read that will bring a smile to your face, this is it.
This book was a quick read. Jayne is out with friends for a night of dancing its blacklight night so she decides to let loose and enjoy. Mrs. Librarian has a super hot kiss that gets interrupted by her friends when one gets sick. Ian is a surprise to Jayne the next day when he shows up in her library. This book ended right eith them kissing again....
So, yes: I know this is a novella, and it's supposed to short & quick. But, I felt that it wasn't long enough. There was potential for me to feel the connection between the characters, but it just didn't materialize.
The book started out really well, but didn't finish as strong as I would have liked.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
This was a short, but steamy read. Fate had a hand in making sure Ian and Jayne get together. Two chance meetings definitely lets them know they were meant to be together. The story was quick, but enjoyable.
A sexy story that was short and to the point. I loved their first meeting. It was hot and sexy and had everything a first meeting should, although I didn't understand what the heck he was doing with his hands at one point. It seemed awkward. Other than that, this book was a good quick read.
Jayne lets go of her inhibitions to have one kiss in the dark, although cut short destiny seems to want this couple to have more than just one kiss. An OK read but mega mega short.
One Kiss is a short, sweet insta-love romance. I liked the storyline and the characters, I just wish it was longer. Jayne and Ian were great together! Will they get their own hea?
