Course Description

This course is the first component of completing a 'C' Youth or 'C' Senior License and contains generic content equally applicable to coaching Junior and Senior football. This component will give canditates a knowledge base that will assist them when undertaking the specialised Youth or Senior Courses component.
Who should do this Course

Pre-Course Information:

The course is the first step on the Football Australia Advanced Pathway to become a professional coach. You will be introduced to all elements of the National Curriculum, The Football Australia Team Model and the Coach Expertise Model. There is significant amount of work to be complete before you attend the course. Details of this work can be found in the relevant section below.

There are three vital documents for this course.

  • The National Football Curriculum
  • The Football Coaching Process
  • Your Course Workbook (sent to you prior to course beginning)


The National Football Curriculum and ‘The Football Coaching Process’ can be accessed via the website below:

You will be provided with soft copies of the Workbook and ‘The Football Coaching Process’ on the first day of the course. These electronic versions are made available to you so you can complete the pre-course tasks outlined in the ‘C’ Licence Course Pack, which will be sent to you prior to the beginning of the course.

Please note: payments are due no later than the Monday 26th February 2018.

Once we have received the full payment, you will then be sent the pre-course tasks to complete prior to attending the course

You must attend ALL sessions and ALL parts of the course. You will not be allowed to proceed with the course if you miss part of it - no exceptions - you will need to continue onto a future course if this happens.
