District NameYour NameYour Email AddressASSET Management SolutionPlease describe your process and any helpful insights/details:

- Do you have a designee in charge of Asset Mgmt?
- How do you handle wireless devices?
- How do you handle devices that are moved from one place to another? (tagging, forms?)
- Does the IT office participate in a bigger ASSET Management solution (i.e. Business Office Asset Mgmt)

1Rockville CentreMike Andersonmanderson@rvcschools.orgWe made our own solutionResponsibility is shared throughout the IT department. Not sure what you mean by 'handle wireless devices'. Everything is tagged, forms are used when devices are taken home by students or staff, moved devices are simply updated in the program. The IT department is only responsible for inventory of IT devices, and does not participate in any larger solution.

2Glen CoveJustin Landerjlander@glencoveschools.orgSchoolDude InsightResponsibilty is shared throughout the IT Dpeartment. Insight has a feature that we use as a chain of custody for wireless devices--you have to initial and detail when picking up/dropping off a device. Location changes are updated in the inventory system to reflect the new location--no forms necessary. We do not pariticpate in a bigger solution.

3BethpageAndrew Choiachoi@bethpage.wsSeries 4000 (for all assets); Google Sheet (for additional information on 1:1 Google Chromebooks)(1) Yes, the district has two asset managers who are members of the district's IT Department and Help Desk. They are provided a stipend for their role. (2) Wireless devices (Chromebooks, iPads) are asset tagged. (3) I have preached that equipment is inventoried to the room and cannot be relocated without prior notification to our asset managers in order to update their records. (4) We use Series 4000 to inventory our fixed assets and a Google Sheet to inventory our 1:1 Google Chromebooks.

4ManhassetSean AdcroftSAdcroft@ManhassetSchools.orgAsset ManagerThe IT clerical support handles the backend of the system; our techs use the app to upload equipment to their designated location and for spot checks/ room audits. We tag our Chromebooks and update their locations when they change. Wireless access points, security cameras, and the like are difficult items since they are often installed by others and, once installed, difficult to tag. At times we've placed barcodes on printed spreadsheets across from information about the asset - make, model, purchase date, serial number. Our biggest challenge is keeping up with the volume of items under our umbrella.

Shared Google Sheet / Barcode Asset Tags / Barcode Scanner
Different designee for departments/building. IT handles computers, printers, ipads, cameras, phones, etc....
Wireless handled same as any other device. If you mean take home devices, forms are provided and insurance is required for students.
Devices are not allowed to be moved / if it is a device that naturally moves (i.e. projector cart), it is designated with location of home base.
We do not have a dedicated asset management platform such as SchoolDude, etc. All departments use Google Sheet. Asset tags are same whether it is file cabinet or computer

Clerical coordinates does initial entry, it department updates for moves , audits . Wireless devices are assigend to carts. Devices that are assigned to users are assigne to users in inventory via LDAP. The system allows for electronic sign of an acknowledgement of receipt of devices that are assigned. Checking and checking out of devices for repair or to depot are done by IT department.

1to1PlusThis system works great for iPads. It integrates with eSchooldata, AD, and jamf.
1. Yes.
2. All wireless devices are in 1to1Plus from the moment they arrive on the property.
3. When a user transfers, the location is updated in eSchool, which updates the user and asset in 1to1. If an asset is moved, the location changes when it is assigned to a user at the new location.
4. Yes.
