SNVImplement off-grid energy market development programs, including TA, early stage grants and RBF facilities (e.g. BRILHO, KOSAP, EnDev RBF, IAP, DFCD). Exploring to adapt RBFs to provide emergency liquidity (partial shift from RBF to pre-finance grants / milestone based payments). Different per project; depends greatly on country context, donor flexibility and requirements. Open to wider global grant program, including MSME support and consumer financing, building on existing fund management systems, tools and procedures in placeMartijn Veenmveen@snv.orgMozambique

Global (IAP, DFCD)
Working on corona response through existing programmes, which provide certain level of flexibility to direct early stage grants / RBF funding and TA in response to COVID-19. For example, in the Tanzania solar RBF, incentive levels have been increased by 20% for all sales claims that came through since the pandemic started. This effectively will increase subsidies for all sales achieved in 2020, providing some additional buffer for the companies. The BRILHO CfP which is now open in Mozambique, allows participating companies to request a higher level of pre-finance / milestone based funding (and lower RBF after sales), to better deal with the current situation. TA tailored to their needs can be requested as well
