Global (IAP, DFCD)		Working on corona response through existing programmes, which provide certain level of flexibility to direct early stage grants / RBF funding and TA in response to COVID-19. For example, in the Tanzania solar RBF, incentive levels have been increased by 20% for all sales claims that came through since the pandemic started. This effectively will increase subsidies for all sales achieved in 2020, providing some additional buffer for the companies. The BRILHO CfP which is now open in Mozambique, allows participating companies to request a higher level of pre-finance / milestone based funding (and lower RBF after sales), to better deal with the current situation. TA tailored to their needs can be requested as well

AECF / SwedenThe REACT Kenya Relief Fund is a USD2 million initiative that will award emergency grants to companies operating in Kenya that can demonstrate that (i) they are serving the energy needs of off-grid households in poor rural and peri-urban areas and (ii) they need financial support if they are to safeguard jobs and essential services during the coronavirus pandemic.

Support will be provided through disbursements of emergency grants (USD50,000 –USD200,000) to cover short-term working capital needs (3-12 months) and technical assistance for business continuity

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until midnight (EAT) Thurs 11 June 2020.

The Restart Fund will mitigate short-term liquidity constraints due to Covid-19 for otherwise well-functioning impact enterprises and support them by issuing recoverable grants.
