The day's events will kick-off with our keynote speaker, Dr. Janice Underwood, a national expert in culturally relevant STEM teaching and Director for Diversity Initiatives at Old Dominion University. This workshop will address the underlying question, "How do I build a classroom culture with students coming from all types of backgrounds and experiences?"
 
The afternoon will consist of diversity-related sessions. We hope you will join us for this amazingly relevant development opportunity!

This event is hosted by the TCC Faculty Development Committee in partnership with the TCC Women's Center, the Tidewater Regional Center for Teaching Excellence and the VCCS Office of Professional Development.

*Lunch will be provided for the first 20 attendees to sign up for the on-site version of this event. Attendees may also bring their own lunch or purchase from our café inside of the library.
