“The Mimran brothers want to prove that doing good can also make for good business.”

Gian M. Volpicelli

We are a collective of Creative Activists – materials scientists, visual artists, storytellers, architects – visionaries committed to seeding positive change and deconstructing the status quo, collaborating to crack the hardest briefs, co-creating ideas, campaigns, and narratives that drive cultural traction.

Climate change and climate-related conflict continue to drive involuntary migration at an unprecedented rate. Displaced people, among the world’s most vulnerable, are being forced into refugee settlements lacking in critical infrastructure, resources, and pathways to opportunity. Most stay far longer than we might expect in these settlements, places we should recategorize as future cities with rapidly growing populations. To enhance long-term human welfare and the outcomes of these young people, we must collaborate with them to create environments where they are empowered to thrive rather than set up to fail. At to.org, we are committed to establishing spaces for people to regenerate, play, think, and create, such as Bidi Bidi Performing Arts Centre, which launched in northern Uganda’s Bidi Bidi refugee settlement in December 2023. Our initiative for 2024 is Regenerate – an ambitious project around mental and physical wellbeing in Kenya’s Kakuma refugee settlement. And we’d love you to get involved! Stay tuned for more.

“We live in a capitalist world. There’s nothing we can do about that, other than getting into the belly of the beast and showing there’s another way.” – Francisca Kellett

“They are altruistic entrepreneurs with a communist streak, … climate activist- investors with a rock star vibe… modern muses in the age of the anthropocene who go about inspiring and encouraging.”Andy Martin

Nachson Mimran is the philanthropic version of those chaps in Inception. He plants good intentions and noble motives in people’s heads via subterfuge, playfulness, and what he calls ‘Trojan horses’. – Joseph Bullmore
