A deadly flood, an unlikely rescue, and a fatal bear attack

A deadly flood, an unlikely rescue, and a fatal bear attack

This episode of the OutThere Colorado Podcast covers three topics that are inherently disturbing. Because of that, listener discretion is advised. The first topic takes a look at why it's so difficult to get an accurate death toll for the Great Pueblo Flood of 1921. The second story covers an unlikely rescue that may have saved a killer. In the third portion of this podcast, we cover the story of a woman that is believed to have been feeding bears from her mountain town home and how that led to tragedy.

Glad it’s back on!

I’ve subscribed to the newsletter and it’s one of the only ones I read from top to bottom. Remembered this podcast I had listened to a few years ago and that I was sad there was only a few episodes and it seemed to end. Realized they were by the same dude and it all made sense. So surprised to have new content here. Spencer’s the real deal in Colorado news and history. I’ve told all my explorers in other states to check it out if they want some great information about Colorado.

Pueblo listener ,

Information is interesting

The information shared is interesting and I have learned a few new things about my state. One things that drives me crazy is transplants changing the names of our towns. Much of Colorado was part of Mexico, if the name looks Spanish it is pronounced as Spanish. Pueblo, Buena Vista and Del Norte are examples of names that suddenly changed when Californians started showing up.
