The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic will be felt for years to come—on commerce, on people and on our way of life. As cities around the world enter various stages of reopening, it has become increasingly clear that the ability to safely return to buildings during and after the pandemic is key to restoring a healthy economy.

USGBC's Healthy Economy Forum will convene green building industry subject matter experts, practitioners and a wide range of stakeholders to discuss how we can support a safe return and the changes needed in order to make that return possible. We’ll also examine the current steps taken by our industry, identifying changes that are for the short term versus changes that may be permanent.

This event will address a wide range of building sectors, including commercial offices, sporting venues and schools. Resources, including published guidance, will be highlighted throughout, including the LEED Safety First pilot credit suite.

The forum will serve as an innovation and conversation space to discuss new approaches and technologies proposed by you, our LEED community, and key industry leaders. Submit an idea for the forum by July 10 to share your proposal.

In the coming weeks, we will release the full event schedule, allowing attendees to participate in the areas that are most relevant to their work and interests. Registration is free to all and open now.
