1. Metal Wolf Chaos XD

Why it should be on your radar:

Devolver Digital finally gives us an international release for FromSoftware’s acclaimed third-person shooter from 2004. Play as President Michael Wilson and defend America from a coup d’etat using your advanced mech armed to the teeth with modern weaponry.

This version comes with updated controls and gameplay, a new save system, and 4K support for widescreen displays. What more could you want?

2. Age of Wonders: Planetfall

Why it should be on your radar:

Triumph Studios is back with a new entry in their empire-building strategy franchise with an all-new sci-fi twist. Take on the series’ familiar turn-based combat as you build your utopia in the single-player campaign, tackle random skirmish maps or go against your friends in multiplayer. There are six factions to join, from dinosaur-riding Amazons to zombie-like cyborgs – because why would you want something basic?

3. Sagebrush

Why it should be on your radar:

Sagebrush is a great option for those of you who want to play an atmospheric game that can be finished in one sitting.

This first-person narrative adventure by Redact Games takes you to an abandoned ranch in remote New Mexico to investigate an apocalyptic cult. Explore the compound and pick up notes, recordings and belongings to learn more about the members and what happened to them. Not creepy at all…

This week’s new pre-orders

1. MXGP 2019

Why it should be on your radar:

This lively motocross sim by Milestone launches later this month, but you can grab a few extra perks such as the Twilight Pack and a dynamic theme if you pre-order now. You’ll be able to take on the current MXGP World Championship for the first time in the series, along with all the official riders, bikes and teams of MXGP and MX2. (MXGP 2019 hits PS Store on 27th August, 2019.)

2. Concrete Genie

Why it should be on your radar:

Pixelopus’ vibrant action-adventure is perfect if you were one of those kids who just couldn’t resist the temptation of drawing on the living room walls. Cleanse a polluted, abandoned town stalked by a gang of bullies by drawing friendly creatures that come to life on its crumbling walls. (Concrete Genie launches on PS Store on 9th October, 2019.)

3. Greedfall

Why it should be on your radar:

Greedfall by Spiders is a gorgeous blend of RPG, fantasy, magic and 17th-century weaponry. It’s the perfect match for those of you who are up for a narrative adventure where you’re free to befriend (or savagely betray) companions and factions.

Explore new lands seeping with magic, secrets and fantastic creatures as you use diplomacy, deception or even force to shape the course of your story. (Greedfall hits PS Store on 10th September, 2019.)
