You can get the whole block or the whole Neighborhood Association behind this safe and fun twist on a holiday tradition.  Encourage all your neighbors, young and old, those with kids and those without to get involved in the fun! Encourage everyone to decorate paper Easter themed images and tape them to their front facing windows, so kids can "find" them as they walk by.

Game Ideas:

1.  Kids can carry a small basket and as they spy the eggs among the images on display parents can put a small piece of candy in their basket (a Hershey kiss, a piece of gum, etc.)

2.  If going out more than once, tell your kids that today's hunt is for images of
a.)  eggs of a certain color
b.)  certain images
c.)  images on houses whose addresses have at least one odd number
d.) images from houses who they can name at least one person who lives there
e.)  after every 5 eggs found the child must say one thing they are thankful for, or proud of about themselves, or love about their sibling, etc.
f.)  create your own fun game and post it for all to play on our hastag

Call a local Nursing Home and ask if they might want to play along.  Tell them where to find the images and have their residents color and tape them to their windows  If they notify Neighborhood Alliance we will advertise their location  and the residents can watch the kids come by with their baskets.

While at the nursing home, your kids can play Tic-Tac-Toe with the residents. Use masking tape to draw a Tic-Tac-Toe board on the window.  The resident on the inside use pieces of masking tape as their game piece while the child uses the same on the outside.  Just remove the game pieces to play another game!!

You can also play this game with neighbors, grandparents, elderly shut ins on your block, or anyone who needs their day brightened!!!
