WALK OF HEROES

Walk through the doors of the Long Island State Veterans Home and you will meet a remarkable group of 350 men and women who sacrificed a part of their lives serving their country with dignity and pride. Their service, and unyielding commitment to honor, duty and country, paved the way for the freedom and prosperity each of us as Americans enjoys today.

We invite you to become a permanent part of the Long Island State Veterans Home's Walk of Heroes by purchasing a Benefactors Brick for a contribution of as little as $200. For a $1,000 donation, you , your family, or your organization can purchase a Commemorative Star which offers more prominent recognition for your contribution. Other giving opportunities are available for individuals, families and groups who wish to take advantage of special recognition opportunities. Upon receipt of your donation a confirmation notice and letter of appreciation will be sent in acknowledgment. Bricks and Stars are personalized and placed in the walk one time each Spring and one time each Fall. Thank you for your support!

ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS

• Orders will be accepted on a first come first served basis until all commemorative bricks are sold out.
• You will receive a confirmation letter within 30 days of your order. Please review the inscription carefully. If you do not receive a confirmation letter or a correction is necessary, please call us at (631)444-8615.
• If you wish to purchase more than one brick to be placed together, or if you would like your brick placed next to another, these orders must be made together.
• Due to space constraints, we will not be able to place new bricks next to existing bricks in the plaza.
• Your message must fit within the spaces provided on the order form. Exceptions will not be permitted.
• All text will be a standard size, font and style. Greek letters and other symbols not found on a standard keyboard may not be used.
• Messages will be centered automatically. The use of upper and lower case letters is permitted, however, you must specify which one you prefer. Otherwise, uppercase letters will be assumed.
• The Long Island State Veterans Home reserves the right to return a contribution for a brick purchase if the facility deems the inscription to be inappropriate for placement into the Walk.
